I’m really loving all the places within SL that have all the winter scenes – the snow, frozen lakes for ice skating,…not to mention all the penguins! 🙂  I went to this place to pick up the cutest elf avatar….and discovered a virtual winter wonderland! Of course, I had to stick around…play in the snow a bit…and take some pictures to share.

Dresses From Alafolie

I mentioned in an earlier post that I had been trying for a couple of days to get the most incredible dress from the lucky chair at Alafolie. The initial T just never seemed to show up any time I was there waiting…and waiting…and waiting! Well, I am deliriously happy to tell you that I finally got lucky…and I have never been so happy to see the letter T come up before !! Here is the long-awaited picture of the gorgeous dress that I was able to get…

See this dress? I have been trying off-and-on over the last couple of days to win it from the lucky chair at Alafolie. I think it’s so pretty and feminine….but my letter has been reluctant to show up on that chair when I have been there. The letter changes every 15 minutes. I haven’t given up however…and when (note I said when, not if!)…when I get the dress I will post a picture of me wearing it as proof!! cuz I’m stubborn like that 🙂

Good luck to you if you try to get it!  And don’t forget to look for the POE globe (another really pretty dress will be yours if you find it!)

POE Hunt / Picture 30 of 365

One of the things I like to do while on SL is the grid-wide hunts. It’s fun and relaxing to miraculously teleport from store to store, searching for the item that holds a goodie….and the “clue” to your next destination. I have found some really great places this way. If I owned a shop, I would absolutely want to be involved in one of these hunts. It is a great way to get your name out there and make people aware of your presence!

Speaking of presents (!)…the beautiful dress I am wearing is POE gift #199 from Crissy Designs; The Christmas-y skybox is from Kosh (one of their Christmas calander gifts which I’m pretty sure you had to get on a certain day; the Christmas hangout scene is a subscribo gift from MB Creationz.  It includes two sit poses, the presents and the tree. I really love this store. They also had a Halloween hangout scene for their subscribo patrons….so  just hit the subscribo and you should be ble to find the Christmas hangout  in history?

Happy Halloween

I must say that I have always loved this holiday. Just the idea of dressing up in something that you wouldn’t usually wear…be something that you are not….even for a day….is very appealing to me. Of course, when the day is done, I am happy to revert back to the mundane days of my regular life.

I’ve got a big bag of snack-sized snickers here…and am counting on having a few left over after tonight to enjoy!! 🙂

Quest For Flesh At Exodi

I had to try the Quest For Flesh Halloween hunt on the Exodi SIM. You had to find candybars that were randomly placed around the area. Once clicked on, you either got a treat (skin, eyes, etc.) or you got tricked (just the candy). I tell you, it was full when I tried this. I had to try several times before I could even enter the SIM because it was full. So you had to be quick with your clicker if you wanted to get the prize! 🙂

Halloween Finds

It’s really beginning to feel like Halloween around here….I have my Halloween studio set up for taking spooky pictures, I dug around in my mess of an inventory and found my candy pumpkin from last years hunt at Locos Pocos…and they are having another hunt that is going on now…yays!!!  While digging around in my inventory, I found this fabulous Drow costume that I got last year. She is called Sakura Moon from the Monsoon store.
